Filmmaking Colleges

Film making colleges teach the art and science of making films.

A film maker is a story teller. It doesn’t matter if the film maker is the director, producer, scriptwriter or the actor. What’s important is that they are a part of the effort at story telling.

Filmmaking colleges are where these practitioners learn to put the effort into practice. They learn to have respect for their craft, the history of film, the art and beauty of what has been done and what they will do. It is also where students of film learn to be patient with the process and to have the discipline to continue till a movie is finished.

It is not easy to go through a film making course. In a lot of instances, film makers did not set out to become directors, producers or writers. There have been successful directors who started out wanting to be cinematographers and trained for that role. The same goes for others like successful actors who were also writers, or cinematographers who were editors. And the list goes on and on. Film making as a process and an art is best learned in a filmmaking college.
